Hofner Colorama II solid body model electric guitar, made in Germany (1962).
 
Hofner's answer to the increased demand in the SG / LP market, featuring a solid body loaded with twin 'Diamond' Hofner type 510 pickups.
 
This specific model features a stamped serial and thus would've originally been purchased from Selmer (London).

Condition:
 
Good condition for a guitar now 60 years of age, with some marks, dings and signs of playing wear. Free of any breaks, repairs or modifications. Original and complete, save for missing its back panel plastic. Tarnishing to metal parts, though fully functional and playing well. Body binding very slightly lifting on one side (pictured).

Original shop-supplied brown leatherette semi-soft case, which is very worn with some holes and is missing its handle.
 
Plays nicely, with some great vintage tones to be had from the various switching options.
