A beautiful Yamaha FG-300 model acoustic guitar, made in Japan, dating from circa 1969-71.

Yamaha's highest-end standard offering from the period, briefly produced in Japan from a few years before production moved to Taiwan.

Specs:

  • Spruce top
  • Rosewood back and sides
  • Rosewood fingerboard with split parallelogram inlays
  • Rosewood bridge with adjustable saddle
  • Yamaha Japan die-cast tuners
  • Replaced pickguard
  • 2x 1/4 holes to bottom/side from previous pickups

Condition:

No structural issues, playing wonderfully with a comfortable action (fully adjustable, owing to bridge).Numerous dings, marks and signs of playing wear making for a wonderful authentic vintage patina.

Modifications/repairs:

Sold as a 'player' grade model, owing to a replaced pickguard, 2x 1/4 holes to the side and bottom from previous pickups, with a small rosewood plug to the bridge (from the pickup's wire). Neck and bridge potentially reset - as such neck angle is great and the bridge is solid. All hardware appears original.
