A beautiful and well-kept original Guild F-47 model jumbo acoustic guitar, dating from 1973 (USA).

One of the last of these original models to be produced, with Guild retiring the model in 1974. A top of the line offering second only to the F-50 at the time.

Specs:

  • Natural finish
  • Solid mahogany back and sides
  • Sitka spruce top
  • Brazilian (I think) rosewood fingerboard (Guild were still using it by '73)
  • Block inlays
  • Tortoiseshell pickguard
  • Mahogany neck
  • Body depth: 5 inches
  • Lower bout width: 16 inches
  • Original hard case

Condition:

Very good condition given its age, free of breaks, repairs or cracks etc. Body and neck show natural patina and finish wear / cosmetic marks commensurate with 50+ years of play. Plays nicely, currently strung with Martin light gauge strings.

Modifications/repairs:

(Plugged) 1/4 hole to bottom strap pin area from a previous pickup.

Accessories:

Original hard case - very worn, only 2 latches working but shuts and pairs beautifully with the guitar.
