An excellently-kept example of a notorious 70s 'lawsuit' thinline Tele, built in Japan by Ibanez for the UK distributor CSL (Charles Summerfield Ltd.).
This one is very clean and all original, having had but a single owner since originally purchased in the 70s. Ibanez were producing rather faithful recreations of the contemporary USA model at the time. Built to an excellent standard (as is expected of Japanese-built guitars of this period), complete with its original yellow-lined hard case.
Specs:
- Thinline hollow body
- Factory natural Walnut finish
- Maple neck with pearl dot inlays
- Factory sparkle pick guard
- Original 'ashtray' bridge cover
- Chrome-plated hardware
- 2x factory Ibanez T-style single coil pickups
- Original supplier hard case
Condition:
Excellently kept, very good condition. All original and wholly unmodified, seldom played since purchase by its single, original owner. Frets in good condition, some minor signs of playing wear to the body and neck, free of any significant player damage. The neck pocket has the typical finish splits to either side of the neck pocket which is purely finish deep (non-structural nor through to the wood), which in my experience is seen on the vast majority of these models with the pockets being cut very tightly at the factory. Some natural weathering to the chrome-plated parts. Complete with its original hard case. About the cleanest example I've seen!
Modifications/repairs:
None.
Accessories:
Original hard case.
