A beautiful Guild F212 (the standard, rarer model - not the 'XL' variation), dating from 1974.

A hidden gem Guild 12 string model - I've owned a few now and they never fail to impress. Being a '74, I believe this was the first year that Guild switched to a black pickguard. Compact yet full jumbo body, modest appointments and of course all of the rich tone and sustain associated with a vintage USA Guild.

Specs:

  • Solid spruce top
  • Mahogany back, sides and neck
  • Rosewood fingerboard
  • Jumbo body
  • 6-on-a-plate tuners (repros)
  • Passive pickup with 1/4 output to strap button
  • Aftermarket hard case

Condition:

Well-played with plenty of natural wear, though no signs of repairs, breaks or issues. Lots of beautiful natural lacquer checking throughout. Playing wear and dings commensurate with 50 years of play. Minor chip to top of pickguard (pictured).

Modifications/repairs:

Previous owner installed Schallers (which were very heavy), now replaced with repro 6-on-a-plate tuners using original holes. One replaced string pin. Non-invasive pickup (Piezo type) added with 1/4 output to strap pin.

Accessories:

Aftermarket fitted hard case.

Playing beautifully with a comfortable low action. A fantastic vintage Guild 12 string with unparalleled tone and build quality.
